We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Mechanical Engineering CAD Technician to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:>
• CAD Design & Modeling:
• Develop and update detailed 2D/3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and Inventor.
• Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards and reflect project specifications accurately.
• Engineering Support:
• Collaborate closely with our engineering team to contribute to the design and development of custom industrial equipment.
• Integrate insights from CFD and FEA analyses to refine designs and improve overall performance.
• Advanced Technologies & Analysis:
• Assist with laser scanning projects for precise digital modeling and reverse engineering tasks.
• Provide support in controls engineering, ensuring that digital designs align with control system requirements.
• Participate in CFD simulation support, contributing to the optimization of designs for efficiency and reliability.
• Bonus: Any experience or interest in finite element analysis (FEA) is a plus.
• Documentation & Collaboration:
• Maintain organized CAD libraries and ensure proper version control of technical documents.
• Communicate design concepts and modifications effectively during team meetings and project discussions.
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and Inventor for 2D/3D CAD
modeling.• Background in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical training; familiarity with FEA and CFD tools is a plus.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a dynamic team environment.
• Bonus: Experience or interest in finite element analysis (FEA).
• Must be available for on-site work in Roswell, GA two days per week, with flexible remote options for school or other activities.
