Duties
- Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents related to family law cases, including divorce, custody, support.
- Manage legal case files and maintain organized records for all active cases.
- Conduct document review to ensure compliance with legal standards and accuracy.
- Perform data entry tasks to update case management systems with relevant information.
- Draft correspondence and communicate effectively with clients, courts, and other parties involved in family law matters.
- File documents with the court and ensure adherence to filing deadlines.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars for attorneys.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment, preferably focused on family law.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Attention to detail is critical for document review and data entry tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- A background or knowledge in patent law is considered a plus but not required.
