Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Lauderdale Community Hospital, a Critical Access Hospital in Ripley, Tennessee. As an RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a rural healthcare setting, ensuring safe and effective treatment for patients. This role requires adaptability, clinical expertise, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting changes to physicians and healthcare teams.
- Assist in emergency and trauma situations, including stabilization and transport coordination if needed.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment necessary for patient care.
- Uphold infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to LPNs, CNAs, and other healthcare team members.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS recommended (or obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Experience: Previous acute care, emergency, or rural healthcare experience preferred but not required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
