ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
As our Distribution Assistant at LDG, you will be supporting the traveling sales team in-house and managing tasks required to keep things running smoothly within the department. This is an in-person role with expected working hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Distribution Assistant, you will be responsible for helping with any projects and tasks that arise within the department. Among other tasks, your primary day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Sending out swag, samples, and promotional materials for the sales team in preparation for events.
- Processing orders and taking sales calls when needs arise.
- Emailing past due notices and helping to maintain information on customer accounts, such as assisting with payments, collections, and credits.
- Sending out car stock products to the sales team.
- Processing returns and repairs, and managing the process for returning defective products to factories.
- Acting as in-house support for the traveling sales team.
- Coordinating occasional travel for the team and preparing team events.
- Assisting with tasks for our e-commerce sales.
- Facilitating product orders from sales staff that require shipment to shows and events, and inventory management.
- Maintaining products and conducting marketing assistance as needed.
- Helping with all necessary tasks to keep the division running smoothly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer support is required, preferably in the cigar, tobacco, or related industries.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Confidence in organizing and managing time well.
- Professional Autonomy: Strong capacity for problem solving and critical thinking. Must be self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Collaborative Work: Comfortable working with colleagues at all levels of the organization, and the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously.
- Personable & Savvy Personality: Possessing character traits such as professionalism, adaptability, and a motivated attitude; proficiency in Windows Operating Systems and overall skills in internet programs.
- Bonus Skills: Experience in Data Entry and an enthusiasm for all things pipes and pipe tobacco.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Be able to lift 30lb.
- Be able to sit at a desk for an extended period of time.
- Be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Be able to learn our portfolio of wholesale products.
- Have a valid drivers license.
