ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
We, Laudisi Enterprises, the parent company of Smokingpipes.com, Laudisi Distribution Group, Cornell & Diehl, Peterson of Dublin and Low Country Pipe & Cigar, are looking for a Production Associate to join our team at Cornell & Diehl to help hand-craft our boutique pipe tobacco. Our Production Associates perform their job duties in an open, climate-controlled production warehouse where the temperature is always kept below 70 degrees. While there are elements of manufacturing and industrial machine work, the role may also include cooking of tobacco blend ingredients which requires particularly close attention to detail. The Production Associate job is sometimes physically demanding, always hands-on and can even be messy at times. With that being said, the role is quite rewarding and enjoyable. We are crafting some of the industry’s finest artisanal tobacco by hand and with that, comes a great deal of pride and job satisfaction.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be active and on their feet all day
- Work hands on with tobacco, both whole-leaf and processed forms
- Lift and move heavy containers
- Help receive shipments of new product
- Safely use simple machinery such as a swing press, slicer, and large cutter
- Use basic computer skills and track production through our backend system
- Find creative and wise solutions to meet our production goals
- Follow health and safety guidelines and remain OSHA and FDA compliant
- Learn and retain knowledge of our products and processes
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Be punctual and reliable
- Attendance on-site
- Work autonomously while also building strong working relationships with management and team members
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Be a focused team player each and everyday
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to lift 30lb
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check
- Availability to work Thursday - Sunday
