The Role In a Nutshell
The Associate Director, Paid Social is a strong strategic contributor with ability to provide social thought leadership, strategic and data-driven recommendations across a range of clients. The Associate Director, Paid Social will strengthen and broadening client relationships by applying paid social expertise to the client’s business to drive results and ensure the client is up to date with the social industry. In this position, you will drive the social process across teams and clients, ensuring all paid social recommendations are closely integrated with the organic social strategies, working in collaboration with our social strategy team. The Associate Director should have a mastery of the paid social industry and how this channel integrates and influences other channels.
Responsibilities
- Develop highly strategic and innovative paid social strategy recommendations for clients that align with campaign and business objectives – ensuring that recommendations and decisions are consistent, and imaginative and deliver results.
- Execute and manage all paid social campaigns - including pacing, optimization, and reporting (working in collaboration with our analytics team)
- Lead client relationship for all aspects of paid social - ensuring trust in agency and team to drive data-driven results
- Maintain a constant pulse on the social landscape; staying atop shifts in the industry and emerging trends and be able to communicate the impact to clients and internal agency teams in a timely manner
- Define and implement best practices across platforms
- Help define the role of social in overall media campaigns (audience planning, optimizations, measurement, etc.) with the media planning teams
- Demonstrate thought leadership with clients by developing and presenting industry/market research findings, social trends, benchmarking and other pertinent information
- Work closely with our social strategy team to develop holistic social recommendations across paid and owned channels
- Possess a performance mindset, understanding how to quantify success for current and prospective clients based on business goals
- Contribute paid social components for new business opportunities in partnership with agency teams
Qualifications:
- 5 - 7 years of hands-on keyboard experience planning/buying across all social platforms, such as Meta, X, Snap, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and TikTok.
- In-depth understanding of social media campaign management and optimization practices
- Significant client-facing and relationship management experience is required
- Be a proactive self-starter with experience working across multiple accounts within an agency in an integrated fashion
- Desire to work for a fast-paced, results-based company
- Strong communicator and presenter, able to present and articulate persuasive and cohesive presentations and points-of-view
- Social auction platform expert user across setup, campaign management and reporting on all major Paid Social platforms (Meta, TikTok, Snap etc..)
- Thorough understanding of the advertising and organic capabilities across social platforms including but not limited to measurement, audience insights, buying mechanisms and optimization tactics

Salary : $89,500 - $105,000
