What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leasing Consultant position at Launch Development?
Launch Development, is searching for a Full-Time Leasing Consultant to join our team at our new community, Promontory Apartments in Overland Park. We are looking for a dynamic sales person with high energy and customer service experience. As a Leasing Professional you will be responsible for meeting and greeting potential residents, processing resident applications, showing market ready apartment homes, conducting appropriate follow-up, and assisting with resident relations. Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment. Must be available to work every other weekend and M-F 9 am - 6 pm.
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
- To lease apartments and aggressively sell the products and services of the property.
- Assist with maintaining a high level of customer service. Respond to resident requests and help to minimize and resolve resident problems.
- Assist with managing the day-to-day operation of the apartment community. Work with property managers to direct the efforts of the onsite staff to ensure apartments are ready for move-in and are maintained in a satisfactory manner.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Develop, refine and effectively implement excellent telephone and personal sales skills. Specifically, to respond to site visit or telephone inquiries, conduct site tours, effectively sell to prospects and lease apartments. Work to optimize occupancy while maximizing effective leased rent.
- Work with the property management staff to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies. Increase property traffic levels, maintain closing ratios and work to achieve and exceed budgeted occupancy percentages.
- Maintain thorough product knowledge of own property and that of major competition.
- Prepare all lease related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. Be able to explain all lease documents to new and existing residents.
- Follow established policy and procedures in the qualification, screening and acceptance of applicants for residency.
- Assume responsibility for property operations when scheduling results in the leasing consultant being the senior management staff person on site.
- Maintain Company customer service standards. Respond to resident requests and work with residents to resolve resident problems and complaints. Follow through ton ensure issues are resolved.
- Enter prospect data into the computer and assist with other computer data entry as necessary.
- Maintain prospect traffic and leasing data, and assist with other computer data entry as necessary.
- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
