Overview
We are seeking an Asset Manager who plays a crucial role in the advancement of IT Service Management (ITSM) for a federal agency, focusing on the modernization and optimization of IT services through the use of ServiceNow's Enterprise Service Management (ESM) platform. In the midst of a transformational project that adheres to best practices, process optimization, and continual service improvement, the Asset Manager's responsibility is to oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets. This includes managing procurement, operation, and disposal processes, ensuring assets are meticulously recorded, tracked, and managed within the ServiceNow environment. The role demands a strategic approach to asset management, aiming to enhance efficiency, ensure compliance with relevant agreements, and drive decision-making through detailed asset analysis. By aligning asset management practices with the agency's modernization efforts and DevSecOps methodology, the Asset Manager will be a key contributor to the program's success.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the lifecycle management of IT assets, including procurement, maintenance, and disposal, ensuring accurate documentation, and tracking within the ServiceNow platform.
Ensure compliance with all licensing, warranty, and support agreements, mitigating legal and financial risks associated with IT assets.
Provide detailed reporting on asset utilization, performance, and costs, supporting strategic decision-making and effective budgeting.
Analyze asset data to identify opportunities for optimization, recommending cost-saving strategies and enhancements to asset management practices.
Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to streamline asset acquisition and deployment processes, aligning with project goals and timelines.
Contribute to the development and execution of policies and procedures for asset management, ensuring they align with federal regulations and agency objectives.
Participate in the planning and execution of the ITSM modernization efforts, leveraging asset data to inform strategies and priorities.
Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to pass a background check and receive a Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-7 years minimum relevant experience.
- 8 years additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
