Job Description:
The Program Manager (Falcon Jet) will lead and develop a team of skilled technicians to effectively service, repair, and return Falcon jets to service, ensuring aircraft compliance with FAA regulations and high-quality standards. This role requires flexibility, with standard working hours from Monday-Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, subject to adjustment based on operational demands and customer needs, including potential customer engagements or events.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be essential to various functions such as:
- Exercising discretion and sound business judgment under minimal supervision to ensure on-time, squawk-free customer service experiences while strictly adhering to FAA regulations, safety standards, and company quality guidelines.
- Hiring, assessing, and developing technicians with varied skill levels to optimize manpower and ensure resource allocation aligns with maintenance scheduling requirements.
- Reviewing available manpower by skill and shift to plan short- and long-term training needs and hiring goals, fostering workforce optimization and sharing resources with other Airframe Programs when feasible.
- Engaging employees for continuous feedback on work environment enhancements, identifying process improvements, and eliminating operational obstacles.
- Partnering with departments to develop the maintenance workflow, from pre-planning to aircraft delivery, ensuring alignment with all maintenance program optimization goals.
- Providing status updates in routine operational meetings and attending customer meetings as needed to maintain transparent communication.
- Conducting project-based planning to allocate resources, anticipate and mitigate potential risks, adapt to schedule changes, and address other constraints that impact turnaround time (TAT).
- Ensuring all work adheres to technical documentation standards, regulatory compliance, and the company’s repair station manual, promoting a safe work environment and quality assurance.
- Promoting safety and accountability among employees, ensuring the proper use of PPE, operation of support equipment, and adherence to general housekeeping practices.
- Overseeing routine employee management tasks, including reviewing and approving time off requests, labor charges, and expense reports. Leading quarterly performance reviews, offering coaching, and facilitating employee development.
- Developing strong peer relationships to encourage effective communication and teamwork among employees and customers.
- Reviewing material purchases, billing invoices, and labor charges to assess cost/profitability and working closely with billing teams to finalize invoices.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in management or a related field is preferred.
- Airframe and Powerplant License required.
- Aircraft-specific factory training preferred.
Experience:
- 10 years of experience working on turbine aircraft and aircraft systems.
- Prior experience in supervision and work order management.
- Strong knowledge of FAA paperwork, work order processes, and billing.
- Extensive experience in customer service, especially within MRO operations.
Skills:
- Self-motivated, capable of maintaining a rapid pace, and able to execute tasks with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in conflict resolution and managing direct customer interactions.
- Willingness to maintain regular attendance, including after-hours and weekend availability when required.
Supervision:
- Reports to the General Manager with minimal supervision.
- Provides direct supervision to team leads and technicians.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
