Join our dynamic production team as a Wave Solder Machine Operator! In this critical role, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and routine maintenance of our wave solder and selective solder machines. You'll play a key part in ensuring the quality of our products while working closely with engineers to troubleshoot and improve assembly processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate wave solder, selective solder, and water wash equipment, including performing regular maintenance.
- Generate solder profiles and develop selective solder programs to meet production standards.
- Conduct daily cleanliness tests of PCBAs with Omegameter test equipment and log the results.
- Operate mini-wave solder pots for component installation and removal as required.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to resolve production issues and optimize assembly processes.
- Troubleshoot and solve any issues with wave solder and selective soldering equipment.
- Document and report production issues to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in weekly production improvement meetings with Pre-Wave, Quality, and Engineering teams.
- Ensure timely completion of all daily and weekly machine maintenance tasks, maintaining proper documentation.
What We’re Looking For:
We are open to candidates with little to no experience with soldering machines! If you have a strong willingness to learn and demonstrate mechanical aptitude, we’ll provide the training you need.
Key Requirements:
- U.S. person status (required for this position).
- A strong record of consistent attendance.
- Ability to follow written English instructions and work efficiently with written documentation.
- Strong computer skills for programming, logging, and tracking production progress.
- Prior experience operating wave solder machines is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for assembly tasks.
- Ability to distinguish between various colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
