What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lube Technician position at Laura Auto Group?
Job Description
Reports To: Service Manager
Schedule: Full-Time / M-Fri / 9AM-6PM
Essential Functions:
- Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly
- Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean lubricate fittings as needed
- Install new oil drain plug and new oil filter as needed
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and vehicle repair
- Maintains legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records
- Cleans and maintains the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
- Remains fully compliant with Company HR trainings
- Maintains a professional appearance
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills Required and Physical Demands:
- Must be able to operate all auto repair tools
- Must have knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment
- Capable of doing extensive and repeated walking, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and squatting and must be able to carry a minimum of 50 lbs. and other similar physical activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required
- ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred)
- One year in service department (preferred)
- Willingness to participate in in-house training
- Ability to operate all auto repair tools
- Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment required
