Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. Duties
- Implement lesson plans left by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Engage students in meaningful activities that promote literacy education and overall academic progress.
- Provide support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with special education requirements or autism.
- Assist in lesson planning and adapt materials as necessary to meet the needs of all learners.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional development.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and report on student progress or any issues encountered during the day.
Requirements
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting is preferred.
- Background in early childhood education, literacy education, or special education is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with lesson planning and classroom management techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including preschoolers.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with students, staff, and parents.
