Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a distribution center environment and possess strong organizational skills to manage inventory effectively.
Schedule: 6 am - 2 pm Monday Thru Friday
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Operate heavy equipment, including reach trucks and Hi-Los, to move products safely within the warehouse.
- Assist with order picking and packing, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling customer orders.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Utilize pallet jacks for efficient movement of goods throughout the facility.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline inventory processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with warehouse standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse management is preferred.
- Familiarity with distribution center operations and order picking processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in basic math skills for accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks and Hi-Los is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy items regularly and work in a fast-paced environment.
