Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our practice. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting and outpatient dialysis.
Duties
Inpatient Rotations at Local Hospitals:
- Assist nephrologists in evaluating and managing hospitalized patients with acute and chronic renal diseases, including acute kidney injury (AKI) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD).
- Perform history and physicals, order and interpret lab results, and develop management plans under supervision.
Outpatient Dialysis Rounds:
- Conduct rounds at multiple outpatient dialysis units in Johnstown, PA, and surrounding areas.
- Evaluate patients undergoing dialysis treatment, assess dialysis access sites, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with dialysis staff to ensure patient safety and quality of care.

Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner (NP) studies, or equivalent advanced practice education for Physician Assistants (PA).
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with relevant state licensure.
- Strong communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
