Summary:
- Provide clinical direction and develop Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP) for children, youth, or young adults.
- Assess behaviors, design intervention programs, and monitor non-aversive behavioral change methods.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to adjust treatment goals.
- Lead the treatment team and foster collaboration among members.
- Encourage family autonomy and integrate individuals into the community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide behavior consultation in home, school, and community settings.
- Develop and supervise individualized behavior modification plans.
- Maintain progress notes and prepare summaries of client behavior and progress.
- Design and direct behavioral intervention plans.
- Participate in interagency treatment plan meetings.
- Provide clinical oversight to Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT).
- Develop relationships with community agencies.
· Serve as a role model for positive behavior and professional growth. · Conduct initial assessments and Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA).
- Complete at least 16 hours of annual training approved by the PA Department of Human Services.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and complete required background checks.
Skills:
- Expertise in behavior management protocols.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to identify underlying causes of problem situations and recommend non-aversive methods.
- Team player.
Educational and Experience Background:
- Licensure as a behavior specialist (LBS) in Pennsylvania, or
- Certification as a BCBA or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis, or
- Graduate degree in ABA or related field with relevant experience, or
- Completion of a clinical or mental health direct service practicum with a relevant graduate degree.
Working Conditions:
- Work in various settings including schools, homes, and community locations.
- May involve physical activities and dealing with verbally or physically abusive clientele.
Additional Requirements:
- Commitment to trauma-informed care and cultural sensitivity.
- Attend required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain certification of ESPI training.
