Join Laurel Life’s Community Wellness team where you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our growing practice of Psychiatric CRNP’s and over 20 licensed outpatient therapists specializing in trauma informed treatment and care.
Job Types: Full-time
Expected Hours: 20 – 40 per week
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Outpatient Mental Health Professional will perform the following duties:
- Therapy and Consultation:
- Provide therapy and consultation services to clients and families in compliance with Chapter 5200 regulations governing outpatient psychiatric clinics.
- Compile individualized treatment plans for each client, including counseling objectives, goals, and crisis plans. Meet with parent/guardian to review treatment plans as required.
- Complete clinical notes on all therapy sessions and prepare written documentation describing client progress.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Develop cooperative relationships with community agencies to facilitate treatment services.
- Communicate and collaborate to integrate child-serving efforts among the agency, district, and other providers.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Prepare progress reports, court summaries, attend court hearings, and conduct progress review meetings with referring agencies as needed.
- Evidence-Based Interventions:
- Administer evidence-based interventions, assessments, and outcome measurements to drive treatment.
- Deliver the required number of billable hours (as applicable).
- Supervision and Training:
- Attend individual and group supervision sessions as required.
- Participate in specialized training in resiliency, trauma, and evidence-based treatment interventions.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Perform other special projects or duties as requested by the Supervisor, Regional Director, COO, or CEO.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Required:
- Graduate degree in a clinical field from an accredited institution that included a clinical practicum.
- Licensure (e.g., LSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LASW) is required.
- Preferred:
- Specialized learning in resiliency, trauma, and evidence-based treatment interventions.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Preferred:
- Three years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families in a clinical setting.
SKILLS
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop effective and meaningful relationships with clients.
- Ability to remain calm in crisis situations, resolve conflicts, and de-escalate potentially explosive situations.
- Must be a team player.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work setting is an outpatient clinic or satellite location.
- Clients may occasionally display challenging or disruptive behavior, including verbal or physical outbursts.
