Duties
- Collecting blood specimens from patients using various techniques, such as venipuncture and capillary puncture.
- Recording patient information accurately, including medical history and prescription lists, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Preparing and maintaining equipment and work locations, including keeping a sanitary and safe environment for both patients and employees.
- Blood specimens are collected from patients using various procedures such as venipuncture and capillary puncture.
- Communicating with patients to assist them to understand the phlebotomy procedure and allay any anxieties or concerns they may have.
- Participating in continuous education and training programs to remain up to date on the newest phlebotomy techniques.
- To guarantee compliance with regulatory authorities and industry standards, all established protocols and safety procedures must be followed.
Requirements
- CPR certification or must obtain at the next available class upon hire
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Interpersonal skills necessary in order to carry out duties in a professional manner, as well as the ability to work well under stress.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-pasted environment
- 18 years old and above
- Proof of COVID vaccination
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Willingness to be trained
