Duties
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, utilizing excellent phone etiquette to address inquiries and schedule appointments.
- Collect and verify patient information, ensuring accuracy in data entry within the medical office system.
- Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals.
- Analyze patient needs and provide appropriate solutions or referrals as necessary.
- Maintain organized patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
- Assist in managing the flow of patients within the office to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide support in administrative tasks as needed, contributing to a smooth-running office environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred, ideally within a medical office setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is highly desirable to facilitate effective communication.
- Proficiency in data entry and computer systems is essential for maintaining accurate patient records.
