What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Nursing and Allied Health position at Laurel Ridge Community College?
Reporting to the Dean of Health Professions, the Director of Nursing will provide administrative and operational oversight of the nursing programs. This individual will provide additional support as needed to the School of Health Professions. This position will work with staff and faculty to ensure the quality and integrity of the educational programs at Laurel Ridge Community College.
The hiring range for this position is $78,685.00 – 105,010.00 per year, however, actual starting salary will commensurate with education and/or experience. The position is an administrative role and as such is eligible for the benefits package offered by the Commonwealth of Virginia for state agencies and the Virginia Community College System. - Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution; Holds, or able to obtain prior to hire, an unrestricted license as a registered nurse in Virginia or a multistate licensure privilege to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Virginia; a minimum of 2 years direct patient care experience.

- Knowledge of current issues and trends in nursing education
