Laurel Square Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, an 87- bed facility nestled in the Philadelphia area, has a great opportunity in for an experienced Nursing Home Administrator (NHA).
Position Description :
- Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs the facility’s daily operations.
- Assists department directors in the development and use of departmental policies and procedures, and establish a rapport in and between departments.
- Makes routine inspections of the facility and assures that established policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintains confidentiality of all resident information and ensures that staff do the same.
- Assures that Resident Rights are followed and maintained at all times.
- Keeps Vice President of Operations informed of facility functioning and / or issues as necessary.
- Represents the facility in dealings with outside agencies, including governmental agencies and third-party payers.
- Maintains an effective and timely communication with residents, families and staff.
- Reviews and develops a plan of correction for deficiencies noted during survey inspections.
- Maintains a good public relations program that serves the best interest of the facility and community alike.
- Serves on and / or coordinates functions of several committees and ensures documentation of meeting reports.
- Maintains an excellent working relationship with the medical profession and other health-related facilities and organizations.
- Qualifications :
- Current active license as Nursing Home Administrator in the state of Pennsylvania preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Nursing Home Administrator
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related area.
