Laurel Technical Institute is seeking a highly motivated and energized person to join our team as an Admissions Recruiter/Registrar for the Hermitage Campus .

As an Admissions / Registrar, you will:
- Performing clerical functions associated with school events (orientation, dean’s list, graduation, etc.)
- Reporting weekly attendance rates for students below 80% to campus administration.
- Maintaining the student database from admission to graduation including processing changes forms.
- Tracking student retention on the Enrollment Goals spreadsheet; cross checking active students with school's database system monthly, making sure the enrollment numbers equal each other.
- Assisting with the tracking of probation and at-risk students.
- Fulfilling transcript requests by sending transcript requests to Controller if a fee is required.
- Inputting schedule information, updating schedule book with changes.
- Maintaining Master Schedule at beginning of each term and keep each file edited for accuracy.
- Maintaining files for current students, graduates and withdraws; maintaining distribution
- Annually purging graduate, withdraw, TUDs, TDNs, and FA files, and scheduling files for destruction.
- Performing other duties as necessary or assigned.
- Manage inquiries to achieve prompt contact and performance activity; utilize approved recruitment policies/formats; make prompt and effective contact with inquiries and redirect unqualified candidates based upon incompatible career goals.
- Interview prospective students seeking acceptance into one of the programs.
- Seek information to understand situations, needs, and desired potential benefits; develop approaches that best position products and services; leverage supportive factors, overcome or minimize barriers, and address the unique needs of prospective students.
- Counsel prospective students about eligibility requirements, training and educational opportunities, rules, regulations, and responsibilities of students, etc.
- Consistently conduct follow-up with all applicants to ensure successful program integration.
- Participate in appropriate recruitment and enrollment activities outside the standard work week and/or office setting.
- Responsible for recruiting qualified applicants in accordance with state and federal accreditation and Institute policies and regulations.
- Conduct all activities in accordance with the highest ethical standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Do you have the right background?
- At least 6 months of related experience (In/Out Bound, Account Management, Admission, Human Resources, Staffing or Recruitment) preferred
- Organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively across multiple campuses.
- A drive for results and a strong desire to improve people’s lives through education
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and influence decision making
- Articulate in both verbal and written conversation
- Travel, as required, to schools, career fairs and other as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher preferred
- Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc): 1 year (Preferred)
- MUST have proven ability to follow a structured process with multiple steps and advanced activity tracking
- MUST have solid computer skills including Microsoft Office, Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Drive, Meets, etc), Zoom, Social Media, and more
- Strong customer service and relationship skills are essential
- Excellent time management skills are required Must be driven and motivated to meet and exceed goals and expectations
- Must be flexible and available to students outside of regular work hours when needed.
