What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Education Instructor/ Campus Administrator position at Laurel Technical Institute?
1. Teaching courses on campus and via hybrid distance education LMS such as Customer Service, Math, Technology Fundamentals, General Education courses, and other courses assigned as needed.
Serving as the campus administrator for students which involves advising, scheduling and record maintenance.
2. For each course taught, evaluating textbooks and other instructional materials; and developing and updating course material including syllabi, course outlines, and evaluation instruments.
3. Instructing classes per schedule; and grading tests, projects, and other assignments in a timely manner, evaluating students on a regular basis.
4. Keeping students informed of their progress by completing progress reports and Advising Forms at one month and two months into the term per provided dates; documenting all advisories for at-risk students utilizing Dropout Detective and saving signed advisories (filling out the action plan section) in your Public Folder.
5. Recording class attendance daily and reporting at-risk students to supervisor and campus director.
6. Providing annual documentation of continuing professional growth, licenses, certifications, or degrees required to teach assigned courses.
7. Participating in Interdepartmental and Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings, and attending scheduled school events each semester.
8. Performing daily classroom maintenance, reporting any building maintenance needs, and performing equipment maintenance, inventory, and requisitioning as required by program-specific needs.
9. Performing other duties as necessary and as assigned
