Job Description:
A technical school in PA seeks a qualified adjunct Respiratory Therapy Instructor in our Hermitage PA Campus....
1, Teaching RT classes as assigned.
2. Demonstrating and instructing clinical skills to ensure appropriate learning experiences for students.
3. Gathering and submitting student documentation as required by each clinical skill.
4. Instructing classes per schedule; and grade tests, projects, and other assignments in a timely manner, evaluating students on a regular basis.
5. Keeping students informed of their progress by completing progress reports and Advising Forms at one month and two months into the term per provided dates; documenting all advisories for at-risk students utilizing Dropout Detective and saving signed advisories (filling out the action plan section) in your Public Folder.
6. Recording class attendance daily and report at-risk student to supervisor and campus director.
7. Providing annual documentation of continuing professional growth, licenses, certifications, or degrees required to teach assigned courses.
8. Participating in Interdepartmental and Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings, and attend scheduled school events each semester.
9. Obtaining and maintaining any certifications and licenses required, along with background checks, vaccinations, or other requirements of the clinical sites.
Performing other duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications: At least two of the following qualifications and all other credentials that may be required by programmatic accrediting bodies
(1) At least 4 years work experience in the specific field of instruction (5 years preferred)
(2) At least 4 years’ teaching experience in the field.
