Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Counter Person/Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Counter Person, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with their automotive service needs. You will also be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and delivering parts to outside customers as needed. The majority of the work day is spent inside the dealership, but some days are spent almost entirely on the road. A willingness and ability to drive in all weather conditions is a must. Candidates must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Receive daily parts order, label and put away parts, and receipt order in computer system
-Inspect all parts for order accuracy, packaging problems, and damage promptly to allow time to file defect claims per Toyota Guidelines
-Deliver parts orders to outside wholesale accounts, including loading/unloading parts delivery vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
-Maintain positive working relationship with wholesale accounts
-Assist body shop parts employees with inspecting, receipting, storing, and delivering parts as needed
-Provide parts and quotes for service technicians for repair work performed in the service department
- Greet customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service
- Assist customers in selecting the right parts for their automotive needs
- Process sales transactions and returns accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized counter area
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
-Order warranty repair parts through Toyota's manually controlled parts system per manufacturer guidelines
-Follow all safety guidelines and report any issues to management promptly
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and service processes
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is a plus
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer focus
- Proficiency in operating a computer using Auto/Mate DMS software, email, and other programs as needed
- Excellent math skills for accurate quotes
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment is a must
