CNA Position Overview
A Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for many patient-care tasks to ensure that each resident receives the comprehensive and personalized care they need. They often have the following responsibilities :
- Provide supportive services and performs duties as assigned by clinical leadership.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living in accordance to care plans and established policies and procedures.
- Assist with patient care tasks (lifting, turning, positioning, transporting, bathing, etc.)
- Coordinate dining services including meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.
- Report any changes in a resident's condition to the nurse supervisor and keep them informed of factors that interfere with being able to perform work as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
