This role focuses on providing strategic direction and driving continuous improvement of Proliant's quality and food safety management systems. A key priority is aligning U.S. and New Zealand manufacturing processes under a single Quality Management System. Additionally, the role collaborates with the Regulatory Specialist to ensure compliance and expand global market access for PHB's diagnostic, nutrition, and therapeutic products.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry or Chemical / Biochemical Engineering and / or equivalent experience in Nutraceutical or Pharmaceutical quality assurance (QA) required.
Experience :
- 5 years of experience within food ingredient manufacturing, food safety, quality assurance. Experience in animal vaccine production, bulk ingredient or dietary supplement manufacturing, medical device; nutraceutical or pharmaceutical highly preferred.
- Proven skills related to quality assurance or regulatory affairs in a manufacturing and corporate environment, including development / improvement of quality systems and education / training of employees required.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with global export markets highly preferred.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Implement and manage quality assurance activities and strategies.Develop and oversee product safety and quality programs to meet / exceed customer and regulatory standards (USDA, FDA, MPI).Analyze and communicate critical quality data to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.Address food safety and quality concerns with corporate and plant teams.Manage the Quality Management System (QMS) for compliance.Collaborate with the Regulatory Specialist to ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and MPI regulations.Monitor domestic and international quality standards to identify risks and opportunities.Educate stakeholders on quality decisions and lead ESG program initiatives.Support supplier quality processes and coordinate with LGI shared services.Prepare and present internal / external reports and represent the company during audits.Build and maintain relationships with co-manufacturers, suppliers, and quality teams across LGI.Provide tactical support to quality teams as needed.Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Leadership.SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS :
