Laurie’s Pie Bar in Long Beach, CA is looking for one assistant manager / baker to join our team. We are located on 450 Pine Avenue. Our ideal candidate has baking and restaurant experience, is ambitious and hard working.

Job Summary :
The Assistant Manager / Baker supports the Head Baker in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our bakery. The Assistant Manager / Baker is responsible for managing and training retail staff, ensuring quality and consistency in our products and services, overseeing inventory and supplies, and maintaining a welcoming and clean environment for our customers.

The Assistant Manager / Baker will be responsible for greeting, welcoming, and connecting with our guests. They will maintain service quality standards by delivering premium guest service and treating each guest as a VIP. They will handle guest orders and transactions in an efficient and professional manner.
Responsibilities
Assist in managing and supervising retail staff, including servers and cashiers.
Assist the Head Baker in the daily production of items.
Conduct daily and weekly inventories to ensure adequate supplies are on hand.
Use proper credit card, and cash handling procedures including counting money, cash drops, deposits, and any other monetary duties.
Help train staff on coffee preparation, food preparation, customer service, and health and safety protocols.
Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the bakery, including the preparation area, bakery cases, dining area, and restroom facilities.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in a bakery or restaurant setting, including supervisory or management roles.
In-depth knowledge of food preparation, customer service, and health and safety protocols.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to manage inventory and ordering systems.
Creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Excellent customer service skills.
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Management or business training preferred.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Available shifts and compensation : Available shifts all days except Mondays. Compensation is $20.00 - $24.00 / hour.
