LAVARA, an ultra-luxurious furniture retailer and design firm in West Palm Beach, Florida, is seeking an experienced Interior Designer and Design Showroom Manager.
We curate exclusive products from sought-after artisans and iconic brands, blending creativity and functionality for residential and commercial projects.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, strong managerial skills, and a track record of delivering exceptional solutions.
Responsibilities:
Interior Design:
Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences, functional requirements, and budget constraints. And or oversee this process.
Develop comprehensive design concepts, mood boards, and presentations that align with client specifications. And or oversee this process.
Create detailed interior design plans, including space planning, furniture layouts, material selections, and color schemes, and or oversee this process.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless execution of design projects from concept to completion.
Conduct site visits to assess project progress, address any design challenges, and provide on-site solutions as needed.
Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and technologies to integrate innovative ideas into design projects.
Design Showroom Management:
Assist with the curation and maintenance of an eclectic collection of furniture, accessories, and artwork for display in the design showroom.
Manage inventory levels, product ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure a diverse and high-quality product selection.
Maintain the visual merchandising and layout of the design gallery to create an inspiring and engaging shopping experience for customers.
Train and supervise showroom staff to deliver exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and design assistance.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the design gallery, attract new customers, and increase sales revenue.
Analyze sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Participate in budget planning and manage implementation.
Opening and Closing the showroom
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 1 years of experience in interior design/interior architecture, with a portfolio showcasing a range of successful projects.
Proven expertise in space planning, conceptual design, and FF&E selection.
Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, 3DMAX, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
Prior experience in design gallery management or retail operations is highly advantageous.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration and project management.
Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
