Our client is a profitable Enterprise SaaS company specializing in data privacy and security. With a powerful Data Privacy Governance platform that leverages patented AI technology, they are revolutionizing customer data protection for Fortune 1000 organizations. This innovative solution ensures seamless compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, while offering unified consent and preference management APIs for efficient data handling across multiple channels.

Job Title : VP of Sales

Target Start Date : as soon as possible

Company : a profitable startup with a proven product-market fit ($5M-10M ARR)

Product : AI-powered privacy compliance and data governance platform

Office Location : Falls Church, VA

Preferred Candidate Location : within a 2-hour drive from the office ( company-paid relocation is available ). However, candidates from the East Coast or Mid-West willing to travel to Falls Church one week per month may also be considered.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Sales to join our client's leadership team. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive growth and shape the future of a rapidly expanding company in the critical field of data privacy and security.

What You'll Do

Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and expand market share

Set and monitor individual and team sales targets, providing regular performance feedback

Provide hands-on coaching and mentoring to the sales team through direct involvement in the sales process, including demos and closing deals

Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives

Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities

Create and manage sales forecasts and budgets

Develop and implement sales training programs for Account Executives and Business Development Representatives

Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners

What You Bring

At least 7 years of experience in Enterprise SaaS sales to Fortune 1000 organizations

Proven experience in sales leadership and player-coach roles within the data privacy software, data security, or related technology industries

Successful track record in scaling startups from $5M-10M to $30M-50M ARR

Experience selling to C-suite executives (CIO, CISO, CCO, Chief Privacy Officer) and senior IT leaders

In-depth knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA

Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly

Bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S. institution (MBA preferred)

Location within a 2-hour drive from Falls Church, VA, with ability to work from the office 2 days per week (preferred), or willingness to travel from the East Coast or Mid-West to Falls Church one week per month

Interviewing Process

Level 1 - Video Interview with the Founder / CEO (General fit)

Level 2 - 30-60-90 Days presentation (Skills assessment)

Level 3 - In-person interview in the office (Cultural fit)

Level 4 - Peer interview (Final evaluation)

Reference and Background Checks : conducted after successful interviews
