Lavish Haus Events is seeking a dynamic and visionary Creative Director – Event Design & Development to lead our design team and play a crucial role in shaping both the creative direction and financial success of the company. The Creative Director will oversee the design process, vendor relationships, and budget management while ensuring that all events align with the company’s aesthetic and business goals. This is a high-impact role, where you will have the opportunity to offload key responsibilities from the founder, including overseeing the design elements of events, managing vendor relationships, ensuring profitability, and contributing to overall company strategy. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of event design, vendor management, business strategy, and sales while being the face of the company to clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Leadership & Vision:
- Lead the overall creative vision for all events, ensuring design concepts align with client goals, brand identity, and Lavish Haus Events’ high standards of excellence.
- Oversee the design development process, including mood boards, digital renderings, layout designs, décor selection, and production, ensuring that every detail aligns with the event’s theme and client expectations.
- Guide the design team, including planners and designers, providing mentorship and direction to ensure successful execution of each event’s design concept.
- Maintain creative consistency across multiple events, ensuring that the company’s aesthetic and design integrity are upheld.
Vendor & Rental Management:
- Oversee vendor and rental company management, ensuring all design elements are sourced from trusted, high-quality providers.
- Negotiate pricing and manage vendor contracts, ensuring they align with budget expectations and financial goals.
- Foster clear communication and collaboration with vendors to meet event requirements and timelines, ensuring cost-effective solutions that maintain design quality and client satisfaction.
Strategic Oversight & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with leadership to align event design efforts with overall company strategy, financial goals, and revenue objectives.
- Contribute to business planning by providing insights into event design trends, client preferences, and potential market growth areas.
- Partner with leadership to define pricing strategies for event design services, ensuring profitability while maintaining high-quality service.
- Participate in budget forecasting and work closely with the financial team to ensure realistic, achievable event budgets.
- Review and approve event budgets, making adjustments as necessary to ensure both financial success and design quality.
Event Execution & On-Site Leadership:
- Provide oversight during event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring that the design vision is accurately implemented and that all vendors meet expectations.
- Direct on-site teams to ensure smooth operations, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a high level of service throughout the event.
- Supervise the implementation of design elements, ensuring the event is delivered as per the approved design concept while meeting client expectations.
Client & Vendor Relations:
- Lead client presentations, refining designs based on feedback to bring their vision to life while maintaining high design standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring exceptional service and exceeding their expectations throughout the event process.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with vendors, suppliers, and industry partners to ensure reliable delivery of services and products.
- Manage key vendor negotiations, ensuring contracts are fair, transparent, and lead to successful partnerships.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage and mentor the planning and design team, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
- Foster a collaborative and creative work environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring all design, timelines, budgets, and client goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and execution.
Post-Event Review & Client Retention:
- Conduct post-event evaluations with clients to assess design performance, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead client retention strategies, ensuring strong relationships are cultivated for repeat business and referrals.
- Analyze event profitability, costs, revenues, and opportunities for future growth to enhance the business’s success.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Invoice Oversight: Ensure that invoices for design and planning are accurate, and reconcile discrepancies as needed to maintain financial clarity.
- Sales & Business Development: Act as the face of the company, confidently engaging with prospective clients, closing new business, and driving revenue growth.
- Marketing & Branding Oversight: Oversee the creation and alignment of marketing materials and sales collateral, ensuring consistency with the company’s brand identity and business goals.
- Vision Alignment: Collaborate closely with leadership to ensure that design concepts, materials, and partnerships align with the company’s long-term vision and objectives.
- Metrics & Tracking: Stay on track with sales goals, lead metrics, and overall performance to ensure the company is meeting targets and growing consistently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
