Makeup Artist

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Makeup Artist to join our dynamic team. Be your own boss at our luxury studio. This position is for a booth rental. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in makeup application, customer service, and retail sales, with a keen eye for detail and an understanding of color theory. This role involves working with clients to enhance their natural beauty through various makeup techniques and services, while also providing exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform makeup applications for clients, ensuring a flawless finish tailored to their individual needs and preferences.
• Provide consultations to clients on makeup styles, products, and techniques that suit their skin type and tone.
• Demonstrate knowledge of color theory to create harmonious looks that enhance clients' features.
• Assist in retail sales by recommending products that align with clients' beauty goals.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the makeup station and tools, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Stay updated on current beauty trends, techniques, and products to provide informed recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with photographers for photoshoots or events, ensuring makeup is camera-ready.
• Offer additional services such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, or hair styling when applicable.
• Build rapport with clients through effective communication and exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• Proven experience in makeup application with a portfolio showcasing your work.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Knowledge of retail sales practices and experience in a beauty-related retail environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with photography concepts is a plus, particularly in relation to makeup visibility on camera.
• Understanding of color theory and its application in makeup artistry.
• Certification in cosmetology or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
• Experience in providing additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, or hair styling is advantageous but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Internship

Pay: $75.00 - $105.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 20 per week
