Job Summary
Well established Albany, New York based Law Firm seeks personable, patient, and hardworking Paralegal Assistant to join our Team. The ideal candidate will have experience working as part of a team, excellent communication, organization, multi-tasking skills, attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. In this position you will assist our Paralegal Teams within our Workers’ Compensation and/or Social Security Disability Departments.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Data entry to assist with keeping information up-to-date and accurate information in our files
- Prepare letters to clients, carriers, attorneys, etc. as it relates to the claims process
- Scan and Mail miscellaneous claim-related documents
- Follow-up with clients on documents that are needed
- Prepare/organize documents to be given to Paralegals/Attorneys
- File/submit documents all appropriate parties
- Other tasks as assigned by management, attorneys, and/or paralegal staff
Qualifications & Skills
- 2 years professional experience in a law firm in the practice area of New York State Workers' Compensation or related field. (Preferred but not required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Requirements
- Full time, 40 hours per week position with some additional time required during peak activity
- Lift up to 20 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
