Document Handling Clerk
This position is responsible for receiving and categorizing outgoing and incoming mail and parcels from various sources, preparing and posting outgoing mail and working closely with different business groups within the firm. This position is also responsible for segmenting and imaging correspondence and other documentation through business processes. Responsibilities also include making deliveries within the assigned building; communicating openly with management on pertinent issues.
Responsibilities:
- Receives incoming US mail, overnight packages, deliveries, and supplies.
- Pick up mail from USPO.
- Sorts correspondence to appropriate office/department/document type.
- Image document through firm processes
- Makes deliveries within assigned building(s) per established schedules.
- Participates in cross training of all duties within the Mail/Imaging Center.
- Advises management of department needs or areas for improvement.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent in work experience
- Prior mail or imaging experience a benefit
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to navigate and operate computer system
- Strict attention to detail
- Must have valid driver license
Ideal Qualifications:
- Knowledge of postage equipment
- Familiarity with legal documents
