Our client is a premier law firm located in Irvine, CA, specializing in business litigation. They are looking for a highly skilled Business Litigation Associate with 2 years of experience to handle a diverse range of business litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial disputes, contract law, and litigation strategy. The role is fully onsite in Irvine, CA, and requires a commitment to meeting 1800 minimum billable hours annually. The associate will work directly with senior attorneys on high-stakes cases while also having opportunities to lead and manage smaller matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a diverse caseload involving business and commercial disputes, including breach of contract, business torts, and other corporate litigation matters.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, discovery, and settlement agreements.
- Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials.
- Assist in managing case files, discovery, and legal documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of billable hours and manage time efficiently to meet firm expectations for minimum billable hours (1800).
Qualifications:
- Active California State Bar membership in good standing
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- 2 years of experience in business litigation or commercial litigation.
- Strong knowledge of business law, contract disputes, and civil procedure.
- Experience drafting and responding to motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
Salary : $160,000 - $200,000
