Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in various legal tasks and administrative duties within our law firm. Candidate should haave good communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
-Conduct the initial intake of new clients and formulate new files
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Assist in data entry and maintaining case files
- Draft legal documents under attorney supervision
- Handle clerical tasks such as filing, organizing documents, and scheduling appointments
- Provide administrative support to lawyers, including managing correspondence and communications
- Assist in contract management and review processes
- Familiarity with Family Law and Civil Litigation
Experience
- Prior use of legal entry/ Managment software ( Clio, Rocketmatter)
- Proven experience in legal administrative roles
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in legal drafting and document preparation
- Strong clerical skills and attention to detail
- Basic bookeeping Knowledge
-High school or Equivalent (Preferred)
-Office Setting Experience ( 1 year required)
Pay will be commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid time off, sick leave and holidays off.
