We’re looking for an experienced estate planning Paralegal who is driven to help others by providing legal service support and administrative leadership. This role requires excellence, teamwork, laser-focused project management, and initiative.
Basic Responsibilities
Our law firm wants to harness your Paralegal skills for the good of our community, bringing families peace of mind with thoughtful estate plans. Basic responsibilities include :
Legal Matter Management
Draft and file documents appropriately and on time, such as probate petitions.Work directly with both clients and the attorney to help draft, revise, and review estate planning documents, such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.Lead signing meetings with clients.Manage matters by organizing and maintaining both physical and digital files, tracking deadlines, logging activity, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.Accurately track and report billable hours.Legal Research and Documentation
Conduct legal and factual research regarding deeds, relevant laws, etc.Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal procedures through continuing education.Client Communication
Provide friendly follow-up with clients and external stakeholders as needed.Work with clients both in-person and over the phone to resolve issues and answer questions.Administrative Support
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and preparing reports.Support office functions such as mailing, scanning, answering phones, etc.Process Optimization
Help refine internal systems to increase efficiency and client satisfaction.Team Collaboration
Collaborate with attorney, intake specialist, and client care coordinator to ensure we are providing the excellent legal services that our clients deserve.Prepare attorney for client meetings.Non-Negotiables
Must be available to work in the office Monday-Friday, 8 : 30-5 : 30For Non-Certified Paralegal : 3-5 years of legal assistant or paralegal experience in probate and estate planning.For Certified Paralegal : Certificate from an ABA-accredited program and 2 years of experience in probate and estate planning (including internships, clerkships, or law firm roles).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.An attention to detail so strong you notice if a Post-It note is crooked.Comfort working with various computer programs, databases and systems, including Microsoft Office Suite, and CRMs.Reliability and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.The belief that small tasks, like making coffee or welcoming guests, isn’t beneath anyone—it’s just part of creating a positive office environment.Top-tier ability to manage multiple tasks, organize information, and prioritize appropriately.Directions to Apply
