What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Case Coordinator position at Law Office of Domingo Garcia?
Law Offices of Domingo Garcia, a Plaintiff's Personal Injury Law firm, seeks two Bilingual assistants to act as a liaison with our clients and their medical providers and assist in medical treatment follow-up and compliance. This employee will build a rapport with our clients seeking medical treatment after an injury and ensure they receive prompt and appropriate medical attention. This person will help our clients understand the care they are receiving, guide them through the process, assist with scheduling and coordinating with the client and medical providers, and provide treatment updates.
The ideal candidate will have experience working for a medical provider and assisting in patient scheduling and explanation. The salary will vary depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience, so the starting salary is based on a person with limited experience.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a medical assistant or in the medical professional office working with personal injury or auto accident patients
- Pain Management experience is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of personal injury treatment protocols
- Basic to Advanced Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Appointment scheduling
- Medical records experience
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, in addition to managing files and records
- Excellent verbal and written communication in both English and Spanish
- Completion of medical assistant program or certification preferred.
