Job Description:
Law Office of Howell & McHugh is looking for a Legal Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, organized, detail oriented and able to multitask. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. This position will require working in a team environment, as well as independently.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Create and update records; including filing, filing folders, and spreadsheets
- Maintain contact lists and database of names and email addresses
- Perform administrative tasks such as typing, copying, scanning, and faxing documents
- Draft correspondence memos, letters, faxes, emails and forms
- Schedule court appearances and appointments for clients

The ideal candidate must possess exceptional communication skills, computer skills, telephone skills, and the ability to interact positively with clients and staff. The ability to "multi-task" and pay close attention to detail is required. The ideal candidate must be responsible, dependable, organized, and punctual.
Education:
High school degree is required. Some college in related field and/or college graduate ideal.
Basic Requirements:
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record are required.
