The law office is seeking an experienced legal assistant to help us in landlord tenant, real estate, and commercial transactional matters. The ideal candidate must have experience in these areas. The candidate must be organized, diligent, highly motivated, and work both independently and as part of a team. This is a challenging role in a great team environment, with varied responsibilities and meaningful opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients in person, over the phone, and via email
- Draft, proofread, file or send legal documents, such as landlord tenant complaints, notices, motions, leases, contracts, and letters.
- Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining lawyers’ calendars, scheduling appointments, making photocopies, and compiling complex documentation
- Create and maintain case files from start to finish.
- Screen, direct, and prioritize incoming calls and emails to lawyers
