Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Immigration Legal Assistant at the Law Office of Vicente Mendoza located in Turlock, CA. The Immigration Legal Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative assistance, legal document preparation, communication with clients, and supporting attorneys with legal tasks.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Draft declarations, motions, indices and legal correspondence (can be taught)
- Gather supporting documentation from clients and other sources
- Interview clients from diverse backgrounds in a culturally sensitive manner
- Compiling form and documentation packets for submission to various government agencies
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information for estate planning and other legal matters.
- Use word processing, email, messaging, spreadsheet, and case management software
- Translate documents from Spanish to English and Vice Versa
- Performing multifaceted general office support
- Must be bilingual (Spanish / English)
