About Us:
Sherman Law is a reputable, community-based, busy, law firm located in Salem County, presently comprised of two lawyers and a paralegal. We are looking for a part-time legal secretary to become a part of our team. The applicant should have a commitment to detail and willingness to learn. The position offered is presently part-time, on site in Woodstown, N.J. Hours are negotiable.
Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Family law, wills and estates, probate and/or real estate. The position includes document preparation, answering phones, conversing with clients and court personnel, and creating, organizing and maintaining electronic and hardcopy files. Excellent grammatical skills are a must. Additionally, must be able to function independently and with professionalism. The work environment is pleasant, although busy and professional in nature
Preferably, the applicant should be proficient in one or more of the following: WORD, Outlook and Excel and ability and willingness to learn and work with other practice-specific specialized software programs Experience and knowledge of Quickbooks is a plus.
Benefits, due to part-time nature of position are limited, but include vacation , sick and/or personal days.
Schedule- Part-time and perhaps flexible
Pay: Starting at $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on applicant’s experience and skills.
