Talis Group’s client is a well-established law firm located in the East end of Louisville. They are looking to hire a talented Staff Accountant to join their small accounting team. This role will report to the Controller and be responsible for legal billing, AR, and AP. This is a full-time, direct hire with a salary range of $60-65k, plus full benefits and 401(k). Highlighted Duties:
· Legal Billing: prepare, review, and process client invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm policies and client guidelines.
· Accounts Receivable: Monitor outstanding invoices, follow up on payments, and manage collections as needed.
· Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, manage expense reimbursements, and ensure timely payments.
· Financial Reporting: Assist with monthly reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger entries.
· Client & Attorney Support: Work closely with attorneys & clients to resolve billing discrepancies and answer inquiries.
· Utilize Clio and/or QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records.
· Ensure all financial transactions comply with firm policies and legal accounting standards.
Highlighted Requirements:
· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
· 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
· Experience with legal billing systems, preferably Clio.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and QuickBooks.
· Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment.
