What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant position at Law Offices of Guttenberg & Franklin, LLC?
Established trusts and estates law office located in Quarry Lake in Baltimore County is looking for a bright, organized, team-oriented and personable individual to serve as our full-time office assistant to provide reception and general clerical/administrative support to Attorneys and to assist in the administration of our law office, including: answering phones and greeting clients, scheduling client appointments, filing and maintaining electronic and paper files, account reconciliation, formatting documents, witnessing documents, assisting with billing (Timeslips program), ordering supplies and performing secretarial duties. Position involves assistance with drafting of estate planning (with training and supervision) and, depending upon experience - may involve administering trusts and estates.
Must have excellent organizational, writing and interpersonal skills, office experience , and proficiency in WordPerfect or Microsoft Word, Quicken and Excel. Must be technologically savvy and be able to use standard office equipment, including personal computer, scanner, telephone system, etc. The ideal candidate must maintain positive working relationships with attorneys, support staff and clients.
