Experienced Family Law Paralegal
This is a professional position for an independent, motivated, experienced Family Law Paralegal. We are a busy, Family Law practice in need of a full-time experienced Paralegal with a minimum of Three years' experience to join our team in either our Wayne or Blue Bell office. Our Firm was just recently honored as the Women Owned Business of the Year by the Main Line Chamber of Commerce.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments to meet daily deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and e-filings required. Strong spelling, grammar, and typing skills required.
Duties include the following:

Case Management:
- Manage a caseload of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, and domestic violence matters.
- Monitor case deadlines and ensure all necessary documents are filed in a timely manner.

Client Communication:
- Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates on case progress, and address their concerns.
- Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor when interacting with clients.

Drafting Legal Documents:
- Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, petitions, and agreements.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with court rules and procedures.

Court Filings:
- File documents with the court, including pleadings, motions, and responses, and ensure they meet filing deadlines.
- Maintain and update court calendars and schedules.

Client Intake and Interviews:
- Conduct initial client interviews to gather relevant information and assess potential legal issues.
- Assist in drafting retainer agreements and fee arrangements.

Trial Preparation:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trial, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Coordinate with witnesses and experts for trial testimony.

Continuing Education:
- Stay informed about changes in family law statutes and regulations by attending seminars and training programs.
- Maintain knowledge of local court rules and procedures.

Ethical Considerations:
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain client confidentiality.
- Assist in conflict checks and ethical compliance for the firm.

Administrative Support:
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys, such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and maintaining client records.

Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other paralegals, attorneys, and legal professionals within the firm to ensure smooth case management and information sharing.

Billing and Timekeeping:
- Assist in tracking billable hours and preparing invoices for clients.
Skills
