We are seeking an experienced workers' compensation legal assistant who is both fluent in English and Spanish languages and motivated to join our dynamic team at the Law Offices of Shane P. Bradley. Located in a fast-paced environment, this role is vital for supporting our attorneys in providing exceptional legal services to our clients. Your contributions will be essential in helping us continue our mission of delivering outstanding results for those we represent.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with legal research and case preparation.
- Manage client incoming phone calls and walk in clients.
- Draft legal documents, including contracts and pleadings.
- Manage case files using MerusCase software.
- Conduct legal research using Lexis-Nexis and other resources.
- Provide clerical support, including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence.
- Coordinate communication between clients and attorneys to ensure timely updates on case progress.
- Maintain organized records and documentation for all cases.
Requirements
- Experience as a Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong legal research skills with proficiency in Lexis-Nexis.
- Familiarity with workers compensation law is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in legal drafting and document preparation is essential.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Work and MerusCase software is beneficial.
