Medical Biller (1 full-time position)

We are seeking an energetic, highly organized and detail-oriented candidate to join our team as a Medical Billing Specialist, full time, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.
This role needs a person who has the basic experience or education in medical billing and coding. We are willing to train.
Role and Duties:
- Submit billing accurately and on time for payment.
- Review and reconcile billing reports for discrepancies.
- Help resolve billing issues promptly.
- Stay updated on billing regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Work with other departments to streamline the billing processes.
- Proficient in medical billing procedures, software systems, and compliance requirements.
- Report billing performance, trends, and recommendations to Billing Supervisor.
- Complete tasks as assigned.
Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical billing and coding.
- Proficient in medical billing software and electronic health records systems.
- Maintain a patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid is preferred, but not required.
- Strong analytical skills

- Ability to exercise judgement and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent phone and computer skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiar with standard forms and electronic billing.
- Certification in medical billing and coding is preferred but not required.
