At Lawall our Patient Coordinators have a direct impact on the patient experience as they work collaboratively with our practitioners and Billing Team to provide exceptional patient care and customer service. Responsibilities include processing new patient accounts, verifying insurance coverage, obtaining necessary authorization, reviewing patient financial responsibilities and helping the Patient Care Team maintain optimal performance. Position Qualifications:
- 2 years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to exceed patient expectations.
- Flexible and positive attitude in response to changing workloads.
- Eager to learn and grow, demonstrating self-motivation.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding patient outcomes and maintaining high-quality care.
- Experience with medical terminology, insurance collections, patient account management or billing preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with patients for financial responsibility discussions
- Collect medical documentation from physicians, therapists, nursing facilities or hospitals.
- Collaborate with Verification, Authorization, Eligibility and Billing teams to secure insurance authorizations for patient accounts.
- Create patient account profile in the Electronic Medical Record system.
- Maintain a clean office work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
