Responsibilities include processing new patient accounts, verifying insurance coverage, obtaining necessary authorization, reviewing patient financial responsibilities and helping the Patient Care Team maintain optimal performance. Position Qualifications:
- 2 years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to exceed patient expectations.
- Flexible and positive attitude in response to changing workloads.
- Eager to learn and grow, demonstrating self-motivation.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding patient outcomes and maintaining high-quality care.
- Experience with medical terminology, insurance collections, patient account management or billing preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with patients for financial responsibility discussions
- Collect medical documentation from physicians, therapists, nursing facilities or hospitals.
- Collaborate with Verification, Authorization, Eligibility and Billing teams to secure insurance authorizations for patient accounts.
- Create patient account profile in the Electronic Medical Record system.
- Maintain a clean office work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
