You Are
You are a skilled Network Cable Technician with a solid background in cable telecommunications and a keen understanding of both copper and fiber optic systems. You excel at installing, managing, and supporting data and voice cable infrastructures, ensuring they meet industry and regulatory standards. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills makes you adept at maintaining accurate documentation, schematics, and inventory records.
How You Will Make An Impact
You will make a significant impact by ensuring the reliable and secure operation of the physical network infrastructure. By expertly installing and maintaining data and voice cables, both copper and fiber optic, you’ll provide the backbone for real-time connectivity. This ensures that critical communications and systems within the site remain operational and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Provide services for equipment, installation, management, and support for Data/Voice Cable (both copper and fiber optic).
- Provide services to maintain Joint Commission standards for firestops and cable management within a healthcare facility.
- Provide industry standard complaint services and assist with developing/maintaining a process to identify and label installed voice/data/fiber cable plant and maintain inventory of all installed infrastructure according to Telecommunication Industry Association/Electronic Industry Association
- Building Industries Consulting Service International industry standards including documentation and schematics of voice/data/fiber cable plant.

Lawelawe Technology Services ("LTech") is an SBA Certified 8(a) Native Hawaiian Owned (NHO) SDB. Lawelawe Technology Services provides first-class IT solutions with expertise in application development, health IT, infrastructure management (IM), cyber security, and systems design and engineering.
Here's What You Need
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in cable telecommunications roles
- Proficient with Data/Voice cable system infrastructure and both hard and soft endpoints.
- Skilled in working with copper and fiber optic cables.
- Capable of operating and configuring audio-visual and telepresence systems, particularly Polycom, Cisco/Tandberg, Crestron, and Extron equipment.
- Able to implement and operate various types of fully integrated computer-based
- Familiar with meeting and room scheduling software, such as Meeting Room Manager, Outlook, and LANDesk.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Word, Excel, Access, Project Management, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Experienced in audio-visual systems and presentations.
- Strong oral, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Crestron and Extron control systems
- Awareness of Governance methodologies commonly governing DoD organizations
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active Secret Clearance required.
Bonus points if
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or information technology with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Working Knowledge of ITIL’s Incident, Service, and Change Management Methodologies
