Position Summary
Lawn and Order Landscaping is seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman to lead our landscaping team. This role requires expertise in landscaping, retaining walls, concrete work, and the operation of various equipment. As the Foreman, you will manage projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership
- Oversee and manage landscaping projects, including the construction of retaining walls, concrete installations, and general landscaping tasks.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and ensure their expectations are met.
- Team Management
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of landscaping crew members.
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor progress to ensure efficiency.
- Promote a safe and positive work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance
- Operate and maintain various landscaping and construction equipment, including excavators, skid steers, trenchers, and other tools.
- Train team members on proper equipment usage and safety protocols.
- Technical Expertise
- Utilize knowledge of retaining wall construction, concrete pouring and finishing, and general landscaping techniques.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and standards for all projects.
- Troubleshoot challenges on-site and implement effective solutions.
- Administrative Duties
- Track project progress, materials, and labor hours.
- Assist in preparing project estimates and proposals as needed.
- Maintain clear and organized records of project details and team performance.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in landscaping, retaining wall construction, concrete work, or a related field.
- Leadership: Proven experience in a supervisory role, with strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in landscaping, retaining walls, concrete work, and equipment operation.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in equipment operation, landscaping, or construction are a plus.
- Physical Ability: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- License: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
