Primary Function:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for engaging directly with prospective and existing customers to provide lawn evaluations, offer solutions, and ensure their satisfaction with Lawn Doctor services. This role requires close collaboration with our Sales & Marketing Team to implement strategies that contribute to our company’s growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Onsite Evaluations: Interact directly with prospective customers by providing evaluations of their lawn and landscape, recommending appropriate Lawn Doctor services.
2. Upselling & Troubleshooting: Engage with existing customers to introduce additional services and troubleshoot any problems they are experiencing with their landscape.
3. Re-engagement: Contact past customers and prospects to convert them into new Lawn Doctor customers.
4. Customer relationship building: Establish rapport with customers and maintain ongoing communication – post sales follow up.
5. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- Excellent communication skills: Ability to clearly explain product details/benefits, address customer concerns, and actively listen to customer needs.
- Sales acumen: Understanding of sales techniques, including identifying customer pain points and presenting solutions.
- Customer service orientation: Prioritizing customer satisfaction and providing a positive experience, provide solutions, ensuring company guarantee is being executed. Confidence in addressing customer concerns and overcoming resistance to purchase.
- Product knowledge: In-depth understanding of the company's products or services.
- Software proficiency: Familiarity with customer relationship management software.

Physical Demands and Outdoor Work Environment
Walking & Standing – Frequent walking across various terrains, including lawns, gravel, and uneven surfaces, when inspecting customer properties.
Driving – Extensive driving within a designated territory to meet with potential and existing customers. May involve entering and exiting the vehicle multiple times per day.
Lifting & Carrying – Occasionally lifting and carrying product samples, application tools, or promotional materials, typically up to 25-50 lbs.
Bending, Stooping & Kneeling – Regularly bending or kneeling to examine lawns, soil conditions, and pest issues when assessing a property’s needs.
Reaching & Handling – Frequent use of hands to demonstrate products, take measurements, write estimates, and operate tablets or mobile devices.
Climbing & Stairs – Occasional climbing of stairs, stepping over landscaping features, and maneuvering through outdoor spaces.
Exposure to Outdoor Elements – Working in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity, as customer visits require being outdoors.
Speaking & Hearing – Strong verbal communication required to explain services, discuss treatment plans, and answer customer questions.
Visual Acuity – Clear vision needed to inspect lawns, identify potential issues, and read documents or digital screens.
The job requires seasonal overtime occasionally amounting to 10 hour work days.
